Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and enquiries made through the Joyfulemote website. Joyfulemote is a private physical venue in Auckland that hosts game nights, casino-style parties, poker events and social gatherings. All events take place in person at our brick-and-mortar location.
Bookings and enquiries
All bookings are made directly with Joyfulemote via email, phone or the contact form on this website. A booking is confirmed only after we have agreed the date, format, group size and price, and you have paid the required deposit.
Payments
We require a deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance is due before or on the day of the event, depending on the package. Payment details will be provided in your booking confirmation.
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations between 7 and 14 days before the event receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. We will always try to reschedule where possible.
Nature of the experience
Joyfulemote provides entertainment-only casino-style games. No real-money gambling takes place at our venue. Chips, cards and tokens are used for fun and scorekeeping only. Guests must attend in person; we do not offer online play or remote participation.
Guest behaviour
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove guests who behave aggressively, cause damage to the venue or disturb other guests. The booker is responsible for any damage caused by their party.
Liability
Joyfulemote is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the venue. Personal injury caused by guest negligence is the responsibility of the individual or organiser. We maintain appropriate insurance for our venue and operations.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force at the time of your booking apply to your event.
